Vintage pens – quality and guarantee

The celluloid body of the Esterbrook LJ series is thinner than that of the L series, made of durable, strong material that is not prone to cracking. I will sharpen the 2668 nib to a fine point upon request. The ink sac is new and sized. This everyday work pen is in perfect condition and can be tested upon delivery.

Montblanc manufactured its 281 ballpoint pen from the late 1960s until 1979 with the so-called "11th finger" mechanism, which means that when the pen is placed in a pocket, the pocket material passing under the clip pushes up the lever and snaps the refill back into place. The fittings are gold-plated. The pen comes with a refill with a small plastic accessory (see photo). You also get a new refill and a one-year warranty with the pen.

Although safety pens were first manufactured in America around 1894, they were most popular and enjoyed the longest period of popularity in Europe, particularly in France, Germany, and Italy. The latter market was dominated by OLO products until 1924. This pen has a Montblanc nib.
